The hospital waiting area buzzed quietly, fluorescent lights humming overhead, but tension crackled as soon as Bethany stepped in. Her eyes locked on Lynette, calm and poised, while fury and fear warred inside her.

Arrival

Bethany and Larry enter the hospital, passing the reception. Lynette is already seated, small bag in her lap. Bethany’s eyes narrow, and a sharp undercurrent of tension fills the air.

BETHANY (under her breath, muttering): Really? You’re here… again?

LYNETTE (raising an eyebrow, calm): Bethany… watch your tone.

BETHANY (voice sharp, stepping closer): Or what? You’ll glare at me like last time?

Larry shifts uncomfortably, glancing between them. He opens his mouth but hesitates.
