“Sharra will give Larry a Christmas gift. Bethany won’t be able to tolerate it and will start shouting.”

“Sharra will give Larry a Christmas gift. Bethany won’t be able to tolerate it and will start shouting.”

Dec 24,2025

Bethany had been restless all morning. The Christmas decorations were finally up, the house glowing with warm lights, red ribbons, and a tall tree standing proudly in the living room. Yet, despite all the festive cheer, her mind was stuck on one thing—Sharra.

Sitting on the couch, Bethany scrolled through her phone, pretending to be calm. Larry noticed her uneasiness and asked gently,

“Are you okay? You’ve been quiet today.”

Bethany forced a smile.

“I’m fine,” she said, though her tone betrayed her. After a brief pause, she added,

“I was thinking… maybe we should invite Sharra to the Christmas party.”

Larry looked surprised.

“Sharra? Are you sure?”

Bethany nodded quickly.

“Yes. I don’t want any drama this time. It’s Christmas. We should all be civil.”

Larry hesitated but eventually agreed.

“Alright. If you’re comfortable with it.”

Bethany picked up her phone and dialed Sharra’s number. When Sharra answered, her voice was warm and cheerful.

“Hey Bethany! What’s up?”

Bethany took a deep breath.

“We’re having a Christmas party. I thought you might want to come.”

There was a brief silence on the other end, then Sharra replied happily,

“I’d love to! Thanks for inviting me.” 🎄

When the call ended, Bethany placed her phone down, her expression unreadable.

On Christmas evening, the house buzzed with laughter, music, and the clinking of glasses. Guests mingled, exchanging gifts and hugs. Larry moved around greeting everyone, trying to keep the mood light and joyful.

Then the doorbell rang.

Larry opened the door to find Sharra standing there, dressed elegantly in a deep green outfit, holding a beautifully wrapped gift box with a silver bow on top.

“Merry Christmas!” she said brightly. 🎁

Larry smiled.

“Merry Christmas, Sharra. Come in.”

As Sharra stepped inside, Bethany’s eyes immediately locked onto the gift in her hands. Her jaw tightened, and her smile faded. She tried to ignore it, but the unease inside her grew with every step Sharra took toward Larry.

Sharra handed the gift to Larry warmly.

“I got this for you. I hope you like it.”

Larry looked genuinely touched.

“Oh wow, thank you! You didn’t have to.”

That was it.

Bethany could no longer hold herself together. Her patience snapped like a fragile thread.

“Excuse me?” she said sharply, her voice rising above the Christmas music.

The room fell silent.

Bethany stood up, pointing toward the gift.

“Why did you only bring a gift for Larry?”

Sharra looked confused.

“It’s just a small Christmas gift—”

Bethany interrupted her, her voice trembling with anger.

“So you came to my party and brought a gift only for him?” 😡

Larry stepped in quickly.

“Bethany, please. Let’s not do this right now.”

But Bethany was beyond reason.

“No! This is exactly what you do every time. You cross boundaries and pretend it’s innocent!”

Guests exchanged uncomfortable glances. Someone turned the music off. The festive atmosphere evaporated in seconds.

Sharra tried to remain calm.

“Bethany, I didn’t mean any disrespect. It’s Christmas. I was just being kind.”

Bethany laughed bitterly.

“Kind? This is the same thing that happened at Thanksgiving. You ruined that day too—and now you’re doing it again!”

Larry sighed, clearly embarrassed.

“Bethany, you’re overreacting.”

That only fueled her anger.

“Oh, so now I’m the problem?”

Her voice echoed through the room as she continued,

“Every holiday turns into chaos because of this!”

Some guests quietly began picking up their coats. Others stood awkwardly, unsure where to look. The Christmas party, once full of joy and warmth, had turned tense and uncomfortable.

Sharra gently placed the gift on the table and said softly,

“I think it’s best if I leave.”

Bethany crossed her arms.

“Good idea.”

Larry looked torn but said nothing.

As Sharra walked toward the door, the twinkling lights and laughter from earlier felt like a distant memory. The celebration had been completely ruined—just like Thanksgiving.

When the door closed behind Sharra, the silence was deafening. 🎄💔

Bethany stood there, breathing heavily, while Larry rubbed his temples, realizing that once again, what was meant to be a joyful holiday had ended in conflict.
