Bethany will go to dinner with Jessie, take a selfie there, and send it to Larry to make him jealous.
Jan 16,2026
Bethany had always thought she knew how Larry would react. She expected sparks, fireworks, maybe even a little jealousy, whenever she mentioned her ex. So, when she nervously told him one afternoon, she fully braced herself for the drama.
“Larry… my ex… he asked my dad for money,” she said, her voice tinged with hesitation. 😬
Larry, leaning casually against the kitchen counter, sipped his coffee and raised an eyebrow, but there was no anger, no irritation, nothing. Just… calm.
“Oh… okay,” Larry said simply, setting his cup down. “Thanks for letting me know.”
Bethany froze. “Wait… that’s it?” she asked, genuinely shocked. “You’re not mad? You’re not jealous?”
Larry shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. “I mean… I get it. That’s the past. Don’t get it twisted. Sharra and I… we handle our business. You don’t need to worry about me being… petty.” 😌
Bethany blinked. She had expected at least a little reaction—maybe a frown, a sarcastic comment, a dramatic sigh—but Larry was just… normal. Calm. Collected. And it bothered her more than she wanted to admit.
As soon as Larry left the room, she muttered under her breath, “He’s not even jealous… I need to fix this.” 😏
Her plan was simple: if Larry wasn’t going to show it, she would make him feel it. Enter Jessie. Bethany had been friends with Jessie for years, and tonight, she had an excuse to make Larry notice her.
She texted Jessie:
“Dinner tonight? Need to celebrate a little. 🍷✨”
Within minutes, Jessie replied, “You know I’m in. Let’s make it fun! 💃”
Bethany couldn’t help but smile. This was going to work. She picked out her outfit carefully, choosing something that was stylish but not over-the-top—just enough to make Larry’s imagination run wild.
At the restaurant, Jessie was already waiting, waving as Bethany approached. “You look amazing!” Jessie said, giving her a friendly hug.
“Thanks, girl. You too!” Bethany replied, trying to keep her nerves under control.
They sat down at a quiet corner table, laughing and sharing stories about their week. But Bethany’s mind was only half on the conversation. The other half was plotting her next move: the selfie. 📸
“Hold up,” she whispered, pulling her phone out. “This is perfect lighting.”
Jessie leaned in. “Go ahead, make him jealous.” 😏
Bethany smiled devilishly and snapped a selfie with Jessie, tilting her head just right, catching the glow of the candlelight. She added a playful caption: “Dinner vibes with my favorite. ✨🍷 #GoodTimes #FriendsNight”
With a quick tap, she sent it to Larry.
Moments later, her phone buzzed. Larry had seen it.
Bethany’s heart raced. She wanted him to react—to text something, maybe a cheeky comment about her choice of company—but she reminded herself to play it cool.
A little while later, her phone buzzed again. A message from Larry:
“Looks like you’re having fun. 😌 Don’t forget… I’m still your #1 fan.”
Bethany laughed out loud. “He’s trying… but it’s not enough,” she muttered. She wanted more than calm admiration; she wanted that spark—the jealousy, the passion, the little bite of rivalry that made their interactions so alive.
Over the course of dinner, Bethany and Jessie laughed, shared secrets, and indulged in the finest dishes the restaurant had to offer. But all the while, Bethany’s mind wandered to Larry. She imagined him checking his phone, wondering why she was there, thinking about her, wishing it was him instead of Jessie. 💌
By the end of the evening, Bethany leaned back in her chair, satisfied. Mission accomplished. She had made her point—Larry was now thinking about her in a way he hadn’t before tonight. And deep down, she knew he loved her more because of it, even if he didn’t show it immediately.
On the drive home, she couldn’t resist texting him one last message:
“Had an amazing night with Jessie… but wish you were there. 😘”
Larry’s reply came almost instantly:
“Next time, you’re not allowed without me. 😏”
Bethany grinned, heart fluttering. Exactly what she had hoped for. The balance of love, attention, and just a pinch of jealousy—it kept their relationship alive and unpredictable.
Sometimes, she thought, it was the little games, the subtle moves, that kept things exciting. But one thing was certain: Larry was her person, and she wanted him to never forget it. ❤️
As she put her phone down, Bethany whispered to herself: “Mission accomplished. 💋”
