“Bethany will insist that Larry remove Sharra from the house, claiming she deserves the place for herself.”

When Larry first decided to show Bethany Sharra’s new house, he thought it would be harmless. He imagined a quick visit, polite smiles, and maybe a few compliments before they left. What he didn’t anticipate was how deeply that visit would change everything.

The moment Bethany stepped inside the house, her eyes scanned every corner. The high ceilings, the sunlight pouring through the windows, the elegant design—it all spoke of comfort, success, and stability. For a few seconds, she said nothing. But Larry knew her too well. That silence wasn’t admiration. It was jealousy. 😒

“This… this is Sharra’s house?” Bethany finally asked, her voice calm but tight.

Larry nodded. “Yeah. She worked hard for it. It suits her, don’t you think?”

Bethany turned slowly, her lips curling into a forced smile. “Suits her?” she repeated. “No, Larry. This house doesn’t suit her. It suits someone with taste. Someone like me.”

Larry felt a knot tighten in his chest. “Bethany, don’t start—”

But she had already started.

“She’s not worthy of this place,” Bethany said sharply. “Sharra doesn’t belong here. I do.”

Larry stared at her, stunned. “What are you saying?”

“I’m saying,” Bethany replied, her tone growing colder, “that Sharra should be removed from this house. I want it.”

Larry’s heart dropped. 💔

“Bethany, that’s insane,” he said. “This is Sharra’s home. You can’t just take it.”

Bethany crossed her arms. “Watch me.”

The tension in the room thickened. Larry rubbed his face, already feeling exhausted. This was always how it went. Bethany wanted something, and no one else mattered.

“I’ll get you a new house,” Larry said, trying to stay calm. “A better one. Bigger. Just for you.”

Bethany scoffed. “I don’t want another house. I want this one.”

“Bethany—”

“No,” she interrupted. “You never listen. I see what I want, and I take it.”

Larry felt the familiar pressure in his chest. 😣 She always did this—pushed him, cornered him, made him feel like he was never enough.

“You always put me in impossible situations,” Larry said quietly. “I’m tired of cleaning up your messes.”

Bethany’s eyes narrowed. “So now I’m the problem?”

“Yes,” he said, finally losing his patience. “You always are.”

She turned away, furious. “Then fix it.”

Larry shook his head. “I can’t fix everything, Bethany.”

But she wasn’t listening anymore.

When Sharra found out what Bethany had said, the anger hit her like a storm. ⚡

“What?” Sharra snapped. “She wants my house?”

Larry stood in front of her, helpless. “She… she says you’re not worthy of it.”

Sharra laughed, but there was no humor in it. “Not worthy? I built this life myself. She didn’t give me a thing.”

Her hands clenched into fists. “So now she thinks she can just walk in and take what’s mine?”

Larry didn’t answer. He couldn’t.

Sharra’s voice trembled with fury. “Tell her something for me.”

Larry looked up.

“Tell her,” Sharra said slowly, “this house is my ground. And I don’t move for anyone.”
