“Bethany will tell Larry that you cannot go to Montana alone. If you go to Montana, then I will also go with you; otherwise, you cannot go to Montana.”
Jan 17, 2026
Jaden sat quietly for a moment before finally speaking to Larry. His voice was calm, but there was clear tension beneath it.
“Larry,” Jaden said carefully, “when the baby is born, I don’t want Bethany to come with you.”
Larry looked surprised. “Why?” he asked.
Jaden sighed and leaned back. “Because every time she’s around, something goes wrong. I’m afraid she’ll create a problem at such a sensitive time. This is already stressful enough.” 😟
Larry nodded slowly. He understood Jaden’s concern, but he also knew that this conversation would not be easy to repeat.
Later that evening, Larry sat across from Bethany. She was relaxed at first, unaware of the storm that was about to begin.
“Bethany,” Larry said gently, “there’s something important we need to talk about.”
She smiled. “Sure, what is it?”
Larry hesitated, then spoke. “You can’t go to Montana.”
The smile vanished from her face. “What?” she asked sharply. “Why can’t I go to Montana?”
Larry avoided eye contact. “It’s just… better this way.”
Bethany’s expression hardened. “No. That’s not an answer,” she said firmly. “Tell me the reason. Why can’t I go?” 😠
Larry remained silent for a few seconds, hoping she would let it go. But Bethany wasn’t the type to back down easily.
“Larry,” she insisted, “I deserve to know the truth.”
Finally, Larry exhaled deeply. “Jaden doesn’t want you there.”
The room went quiet.
Bethany stared at him in disbelief. “What did you just say?”
“He thinks your presence might create problems during the baby’s birth,” Larry explained. “He asked me to come alone.”
Bethany’s eyes filled with anger. Her voice rose instantly. “So this is about him?” she snapped. “He doesn’t want me there, so I’m suddenly not allowed to go?” 😡
“Bethany, please try to understand—” Larry began.
“No,” she interrupted. “You listen to me now.” She stood up, her hands clenched. “You are not going to Montana alone.”
Larry looked stunned. “What do you mean?”
“I mean exactly what I said,” Bethany replied coldly. “If you go to Montana, I will go with you. Otherwise, you are not going anywhere.” 🚫✈️
Larry ran a hand through his hair. “Bethany, this isn’t fair. Jaden is already under pressure. The baby—”
“I don’t care,” she said sharply. “I won’t be treated like I don’t matter. If Jaden has a problem with me, that’s his issue—not mine.”
Larry felt his chest tighten. He was trapped between two people he cared about deeply.
“Bethany,” he said softly, “this could make things worse.”
She crossed her arms. “So be it. I’m not backing down.”
That night, Larry couldn’t sleep. His mind replayed the conversations again and again. On one side was Jaden—worried, emotional, and desperate to avoid conflict during one of the most important moments of his life. On the other side was Bethany—hurt, angry, and unwilling to be pushed aside.
“This is a mess,” Larry muttered to himself. 😔
He knew that whatever decision he made would upset someone.
If he went alone, Bethany would feel betrayed.
If he took Bethany with him, Jaden would feel disrespected and stressed.
Larry felt like he was standing in the middle of a storm, pulled in opposite directions.
“Why does it have to be this complicated?” he whispered.
The next morning, Larry stared at his phone, unsure whom to call first. Jaden or Bethany. Either conversation would open another battle.
One thing was clear—this was no longer just a trip to Montana. It had turned into a test of loyalty, trust, and boundaries.
And Larry was stuck right in the middle. ⚖️
