Larry tells Bethany he’s giving Sharra money and warns her not to cause drama.
Jan 5,2026
It was a quiet afternoon when Larry’s phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen and saw Sharra’s name. 😅 He sighed, already anticipating the usual request. “Here we go again,” he muttered under his breath.
“Hello, Larry,” Sharra said, her tone polite but urgent. “I… I need some help. I’m short on funds for the apartment Brooke and Destiny are moving into. Can you… help me out?”
Larry listened carefully, nodding slowly as he processed her words. He knew Sharra wasn’t asking frivolously—this was serious. But he also knew how messy things could get if Bethany ever found out. 😬
“Sharra, I’ll help,” Larry replied thoughtfully. “But you need to promise me something. No drama. No problem. I don’t want any issues later.”
Sharra’s voice softened. “I understand, Larry. I don’t want any trouble either. I just… need your help this once.”
Larry ended the call and leaned back in his chair. He rubbed his temples, thinking. 🤔 “If I give her the money, and Bethany finds out… oh boy, she’ll blow up. She can’t stand feeling left out or like she’s missing something.” He chuckled nervously, imagining the scene. “I have to be smart about this.”
He picked up his phone and called Bethany. When she answered, Larry could hear the curiosity and slight suspicion in her voice. “Hey, Bethany. How’s your day going?”
Bethany hummed. “It’s okay, I guess. What’s up?”
Larry took a deep breath. “Bethany… I need to tell you something important. Sharra asked me for some money, and I’ve decided to give it to her. But listen carefully—this is delicate. I’m telling you because I don’t want any unnecessary problems later.”
Bethany’s tone instantly shifted, a mix of curiosity and apprehension. “Wait… what kind of problems?”
Larry sighed, choosing his words carefully. “Look, I don’t want you to create a scene. Sharra isn’t asking for anything unreasonable, and I trust her judgment. But I know if you find out later without me telling you… things could get messy. So I’m being upfront.”
There was a pause on the line. Bethany was processing his words. “So… you’re giving her money? Just like that?”
Larry smiled softly, even though she couldn’t see it. “Yes. But remember, this is private. Don’t mention a word to anyone about this. It’s not about secrecy—it’s about avoiding unnecessary drama. 💼”
Bethany huffed, though her tone was calmer now. “Hmm… okay. I get it. No tamasha. I won’t say a thing.”
Larry leaned back, relieved. “Exactly. I know this might feel weird, but trust me—it’s for the best. Everyone benefits if we just keep this professional and low-key. Think of it as… strategic patience.”
Bethany chuckled lightly. “Strategic patience, huh? That’s a fancy way of saying ‘don’t blow up.’ Got it.” 😏
Larry laughed. “You got it. But seriously, Bethany, I’m counting on you. If Sharra had gone to you first or if you found out later, it could have created unnecessary tension. So I’m telling you now so you understand the context and know it’s nothing to worry about.”
Bethany’s voice softened. “Alright, Larry. I trust you. I’ll keep it quiet. No tamasha, I promise.”
Larry smiled, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. “Thank you, Bethany. That means a lot. Sharra and I just need to handle this quietly. Brooke and Destiny’s move is important, and I don’t want anything to distract from it.”
Bethany responded, almost teasingly, “I get it. You’re being all responsible and careful. Very Mr. Larry. 😎”
Larry laughed again. “Yeah, yeah. Don’t make fun of me. I’m just trying to prevent a storm before it starts. Sometimes, preemptive honesty is the best policy.”
Bethany laughed softly, a warm sound that eased Larry’s anxiety. “Okay, Larry. I understand completely. I won’t say a word to anyone. You’ve got my word.”
Larry ended the call feeling satisfied. He had navigated a potentially explosive situation with honesty and tact, keeping both Sharra and Bethany in the loop without sparking conflict. 💪
He looked at the payment details on his phone one last time, confirmed everything, and hit “send.” Mission accomplished. Sharra would get the money, Bethany would stay calm, and the apartment for Brooke and Destiny would proceed without a hitch.
Sometimes, Larry thought, managing people was more complicated than managing money. But in moments like these, patience, honesty, and careful communication were worth it. He smiled, leaning back, confident that he had handled the situation like a pro.
