Shayla riles Iman against Delicia, but Delicia overhears, steps out of the room, and storms at Shayla in anger.”
Jan 27,2026
The house was unusually quiet that night. Soft rain tapped against the windows as Delicia and Iman lay asleep on the couch, wrapped in the kind of peace that only comes when two hearts feel safe together. 🛋️💤 The TV was still on, glowing dimly in the dark room, and everything felt calm… too calm.
Suddenly—
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Iman’s eyes shot open. His heart skipped. Delicia stirred beside him, confused. Before either of them could speak, the knocking came again—louder this time. Urgent. Demanding.
“Who is that?” Delicia whispered.
Iman already knew. His jaw tightened. “It’s Shayla.”
Delicia sat up. “At this hour?”
Before Delicia could move, Iman gently grabbed her hand and said in a low voice, “Go. Hide in the bedroom. Please.”
Her eyes widened. “Iman—”
“Just trust me,” he said. “She doesn’t need to see you here.”
Reluctantly, Delicia slipped off the couch and hurried down the hall, quietly closing the bedroom door behind her. Her heart was racing. Something felt wrong. 💔
Iman took a deep breath and opened the door.
There stood Shayla.
Dressed in confidence and attitude, eyes sharp with suspicion, lips curled in irritation. 😒
“So,” she said coldly, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation, “now you open the door.”
Iman stayed calm. “Shayla, what are you doing here?”
She crossed her arms. “Funny. I’ve been calling you all day. You didn’t answer. You didn’t text. You didn’t explain. And now I find you at home, acting all mysterious?”
Iman sighed. “I wasn’t with anyone.”
Shayla laughed sarcastically. “Don’t lie to me, Iman. I know when a man is hiding something.”
From the bedroom, Delicia stood frozen behind the door, listening to every word. Her chest felt tight. 💢
Shayla paced the living room like she owned the place. “Let me guess… you were with her, weren’t you? That Delicia girl.”
Iman’s eyes narrowed. “Don’t talk about her like that.”
Shayla stopped walking. “Like what? The truth?”
“She hasn’t done anything to you,” Iman snapped. “Leave her out of this.”
That’s when Shayla’s tone changed. Her voice became poisonous.
“You’re blind, Iman. That girl is playing you. She’s fake. She’s using you. You don’t even see how she looks at you—like she wants everything you are.”
Behind the door, Delicia’s hands curled into fists. Her heart pounded. 😡
Shayla continued, getting louder, crueler.
“She’s not loyal. Girls like her pretend to be innocent, but they’re not. Trust me. She’s bad news.”
That was it.
The bedroom door flew open.
Delicia walked out, eyes burning with rage, tears threatening but not falling. Her presence shocked them both.
“Say it again,” Delicia said, voice shaking. “Say my name again.”
Shayla turned slowly. “Oh. So that’s where you were hiding.”
Iman stepped forward. “Delicia—”
“No,” Delicia snapped. “Let me talk.”
She looked straight at Shayla. “You walked into my space. You insulted me behind my back. You lied about me. And you thought I wouldn’t hear?”
Shayla smirked. “If the shoe fits—”
SLAP.
The sound echoed through the room. 💥
Iman gasped.
Shayla stumbled back, hand flying to her cheek, eyes wide with shock.
Delicia stood tall, breathing hard. “That slap was for every lie you just told.”
Tears finally slipped down her face. “I saw your real face tonight, Shayla. Jealous. Bitter. Disrespectful.”
Iman moved beside Delicia. “You crossed a line.”
Shayla’s voice trembled now. “You chose her?”
Iman didn’t hesitate. “You made that choice for me.”
The room fell silent.
Shayla grabbed her bag, pride shattered, and stormed out without another word.
Delicia collapsed into Iman’s arms, shaking. 💔
“I’m sorry you had to hear that,” he whispered.
She looked up at him, eyes full of emotion. “At least now I know who she really is.”
And in that moment, Delicia knew—
Sometimes, the truth doesn’t knock.
It breaks the door down. 🚪🔥
