Shayla had been pacing the room for nearly ten minutes before she finally turned to Delicia. Her hands were trembling, and her eyes refused to meet Delicia’s. The air felt heavy, like something terrible was about to be spoken aloud.

“Delicia…” Shayla began softly, her voice barely steady. “There’s something I need to tell you.”

Delicia looked up from her phone, smiling faintly. “What is it? You’re acting weird.”

Shayla swallowed hard. “Iman… Iman told me something today.”

Delicia laughed lightly. “What, that he’s planning a surprise for me? Come on, Shayla, stop messing around.” 😅
