“When Delicia finds out that Iman gave Shayla the money, she confronts her in anger and slaps her.”
Jan 31,2026
Delicia stood in the doorway, her heart pounding harder with every step she took into the room. The air felt heavy, thick with secrets she hadn’t known were waiting for her. She had come to Iman’s house expecting a simple conversation. What she found instead was betrayal dressed in silence.
Iman was sitting on the couch, tense. Shayla stood near the window, arms folded, eyes avoiding Delicia’s. The moment Delicia noticed that look — guilt mixed with fear — she knew something was wrong.
“Why do you both look like you’re about to confess to a crime?” Delicia asked, her voice calm but sharp.
Neither of them answered.
That silence was louder than any truth.
Delicia’s phone buzzed in her hand. A message. A screenshot. A bank transfer notification.
Iman → Shayla → $15,000
Her breath caught.
She slowly looked up, eyes locking onto Iman.
“Did you give Shayla money?” she asked quietly.
Iman hesitated.
That hesitation destroyed her.
“How much?” Delicia pressed.
Still nothing.
Her voice rose. “IMAN. HOW. MUCH?”
He finally spoke. “It’s not what you think—”
“How much?” she demanded again, her hands shaking now.
He swallowed. “Fifteen thousand.”
The room went silent.
Delicia laughed once — not because it was funny, but because it hurt too much not to. “Fifteen… thousand?” she repeated. “For what?”
Iman looked at Shayla, then back at Delicia.
“For Miami,” he said.
The word hit her like a slap.
“Miami?” Delicia whispered. “You gave her fifteen thousand dollars… to go to Miami?”
“Yes,” Iman said. “She needed it.”
That was the moment something inside Delicia snapped. 🔥
“You gave her money,” Delicia said slowly, walking toward him, “without telling me. Without asking me. And you expect me to be okay with that?”
Iman stood up. “Delicia, listen—”
“No,” she cut him off. “You listen. You don’t secretly fund another woman’s life while standing in front of me pretending you’re loyal.”
Shayla finally spoke. “Delicia, it wasn’t like that—”
Delicia turned on her instantly.
“Oh, really? Then what was it like, Shayla? Because from where I’m standing, it looks like you took his money and ran.”
“I didn’t run,” Shayla said defensively. “I was just—”
“Just what?” Delicia snapped. “Just using him?”
Iman stepped between them. “Delicia, don’t do this.”
“Don’t do this?” Delicia laughed bitterly. “You did this.”
Her chest felt tight. Her heart felt heavy. And her trust felt completely shattered. 💔
“So let me get this straight,” Delicia said, pointing at Iman. “You gave Shayla money to go live her best life in Miami, while I’m standing here thinking we’re building something real?”
Iman opened his mouth, but no words came out.
That silence again.
Delicia turned back to Shayla, her eyes burning. “And you,” she said, her voice trembling with anger, “you took it. You didn’t think once about what this would do to me.”
Shayla looked down. “I needed help.”
“You needed boundaries,” Delicia replied coldly.
The room felt like it was closing in on all three of them. The tension was unbearable. Every breath felt sharp.
Delicia took a step closer to Shayla.
“So you thought it was okay to take his money and walk away like nothing happened?”
“I didn’t mean to hurt you,” Shayla said quietly.
Delicia’s eyes filled with tears — but they didn’t fall. Not yet.
“You didn’t mean to,” she said. “But you did.”
And then, in one swift motion—
SLAP. 👋
The sound echoed through the room.
Shayla staggered back, stunned, her hand flying to her face.
Iman shouted, “Delicia!”
Delicia stood there, shaking, her hand still raised, her heart racing. She wasn’t proud of what she did — but she wasn’t sorry either.
“That,” Delicia said, her voice breaking, “is for every lie you both told me.”
She turned to Iman, tears finally spilling down her cheeks.
“And you,” she whispered, “you didn’t just give her money. You gave away my trust.”
Iman reached out to her. “Delicia, please—”
She stepped back.
“No,” she said firmly. “I don’t know who you are anymore.”
The room was silent again. But this time, it wasn’t full of secrets.
It was full of consequences. ⚖️
Delicia walked out, leaving behind the man who betrayed her and the woman who crossed her.
And for the first time, she chose herself.
